Faculty of Engineering Unhas alumni that gathered from numerous parts of Indonesia assembled in the Tamalanrea Campus 9-10 July 2016 with the intention of introducing what they called “Misses Campus.”
Approximately 2.000 of the Faculty of Engineering Alumni will be present at the event, which is combined with a friendly gathering.
“The event is conducted by the Alumni Association of Engineering Unhas,” stated Muammar Muhayyang, accompanied by the Head Committee Atitah Quba, during the meeting with the Unhas Rector Dwia Aries Tina Pulubuhu in her office, Wednesday (31/5/2016) evening.
Atitah Quba explained to the Unhas Rector that besides the sole aim of meeting one another, the alumni would also plant trees in the Unhas Campus Gowa. For example mangosteen tree. The alumni also plan in uniting the alumni of Baraya, Tamalanrea, and Gowa.
Unhas Rector Dwia Aries Tina Pulubuhu during the opportunity stated her hopes for the alumni not only to gather, but need to contribute to the alma mater. In regards to planting trees, Dwia also expected that the alumni would plant the trees in the Tamalanrea Campus, as there still exists available lands for the plantation of such a productive tree.
“I hope that the Engineering Alumni can be more productive. In the Unhas Gowa Campus, there is a Center of Technology (COT) that can be an avenue of contributive ideas that the alumni may provide,” stated Dwia that was accompanied by the Head of Rectorate Secretariat Unhas, Suharman Hamzah.
Dwia hoped, that the alumni can construct a form of funding that can, later on, be utilized for business, as a form of Unhas unit amid the transformation to the Autonomous Status (PTN BH). (mda)
