The newly inducted Head of the Academic Bureau, Ir. Andi Darwin, replacing Nur Alim Tahir, S.E., M.Si. (approaching the pension age), now holds the leadership position. Before it though, it is of a crucial essence to understand the career history of the individual.
Born in Tana Doang Selayar, 5 January 1961, he was officially a civil servant candidate starting the 3rd of May 1987. A year later, the graduate of Civil Engineering Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) 1995, officially became a civil servant starting on 1 July 1998 as II/a classification, as he registered with a certificate of graduation from STM (Construction), that he obtained in 1983.
Andi Darwin becoming a civil engineer based on his background in Water Management from STM, was actually not his initial intentions. But he then eventually took the path after his four years of study in the campus inaugurated by President Soeharto in 1977 was completed. He proceeded to become a civil servant in Unhas during the period in which the alma mater was led by the late Prof. Dr. Ir. Fachruddin.
To be able to achieve his position now, this father of seven children (husband of Andi Darmawati that was born in Selatar, 17 July 1975, married on the 17th of July 1994), grinded his way to the top position. As an engineering background individual, after accepted as a civil servant, this Masters candidate on Management UMI initially took the career path of being a technician. But three years later, he was inducted as a Laboratory Assistant, a position he maintained for the next five years (2005).
After leaving his position as a Laboratory Assistant, the 170cm-82kg man started gaining the attention of the Vice Rector II, Prof. Dr. Ir. A. Syamsul Arifin P., M.Eng to obtain a management position. The functionary position he was granted back then was the Manager of Finance P2KKN Unhas, until 2006. The next position was for the son of Daeng Kuraja and the late Pattau Gau, was as the Head of Public and Equipment Sub-Division of the Faculty of Dentistry until 2010.
For four years (2010-2014), this receiver of the Satya Lencana Karya Satya 20 years (2008) was mutated becoming the Head of Administration Sub-Division of the Faculty of Medicine for four years. Since 2014, the graduate of the Elementary School 3 Selayar 1975, was then taken to the Rectorate Building Unhas. Since then, the Junior High School Selayar graduate became the Head of Routine Budgets and Development Sub-Division, of the Finance Bureau Unhas. Being a Tk.I/ Classification IV/b, now Ir. Andir Darwin is entrusted as the Head of Public Administration Bureau Unhas, for the upcoming four years.
As an educator, Andi Darwin has completed a number of practical educations and training. For example is the Education and Leadership Training (Diklatpim) IV in Jakarta for one and a half months (2007), Education and Training of Book Editing in Bogor (2007), Internship in the Asset Management Division of PTN BH for three weeks (2008) in UGM, and Education and Leadership Training III in Jakarta for one month, 17 days in 2009.
Such a figure has made chess as his hobby as such a sport is what makes himself calm, as it requires firm patience during the play. (mda)
