About the Program
The Master Program of Chemistry (PSMK) is one of the study programs in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, which has 19 lecturers with 6 qualifications as professors and 8 associate professors and 5 assistant professors. This PSMK has two fields of study, Life Science and Non- Life Science Chemistry. Research topics in PSMK are not only to study the theory but also the application in related fields: pharmacy, health, agriculture, fisheries, animal husbandry, forestry and the environment.

Areas of Specialization
PSMK has competencies that focus on two (2) special fields of study, Life Science and Non- Life Science sectors:
- Life Science sector:
Strengthened Competencies are the fields of Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry and Analytical Chemistry. - Non- Life Science Sector:
Strengthened Competencies are in the fields of Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry.
Learning Process
• The PSMK learning process focuses on contextual and conceptual collaboration with a variety of learning methods, namely Case Based Learning (CBL), Project based Learning (PjBL) and Focus Group Discussion (FGD).
• PSMK final assignment research is carried out at the Chemistry Laboratories of FMIPA: Lab. Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Lab. Radiation Chemistry and some are also carried out in the Lab. at BRIN (LIPI Serpong and LIPI CIBINONG). Apart from that, the final analysis of the sample was carried out at several universities that had tools according to their needs.
Career Prospects
PSMK graduates are employed in various institutions, including: as academics, researchers, chemical consultants and professional staff in companies related to the field of chemistry. Most of PSMK graduates work in the food, health, industrial and environmental fields. Some of them also work as self-employed in related fields.
