Unhas Rector felt highly disappointed with the statements of the Head Central Committee SBMPTN Prof. Rachmat Wahab that threatened to implement sanctions to the Panlok 82 Unhas in regards to jockeys caught from year to year, as stated on the first page of Sindo Newspaper, Thursday (2/6). “Unhas is supposed to be appreciated as we are brave enough in revealing the truth and have been implementing strict measures,” stated Unhas Rector Prof. Dr. Dwia Aries Tina Pulubuhu, MA, a while after seeing the Sindo newspaper that published the statement.
According to the rector, if such a matter is allowed (catching the jockeys are known as the wrong action), it will be a precedent for other higher education institutions. “Therefore the processes will not be strict in the process of SBMPTN, and suspicious events will be neglected during the process of selections,” explained Dwia.
Therefore the conspiracies that have spread at the national level added the Unhas Rector, must be fought. “Not by giving sanctions to the Universities that have given no tolerance towards those jockeys,” she strengthened.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Higher Education Institution Board of Indonesia (MRPTNI) Prof. Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc. embraces the same opinion with the Unhas Rector and supports any measures that she undergoes in accordance to the newly published news in the Sindo newspaper.
