About the Program
The Undergraduate Study Program in Nutritional Sciences is a study program that has been established since 2005 and is under the scope of the Faculty of Public Health, Hasanuddin University. This study program focuses on Public Health Nutrition, especially in coastal and island areas with a SMILE graduate profile (Supervisor, Manager, Innovator, Leader and Educator).
Strengths
- The Undergraduate Study Program in Nutritional Sciences has obtained national and international accreditation, namely "Excellent" accreditation from the Indonesian Higher Education Independent Accreditation Institute (LAM-PTKes), accredited by the ASEAN University Network (Southeast Asia), and accredited by Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik (ASIIN) Europe.
- Implementation of learning, applying the Evidence Based Learning (EBL) method, where students not only learn theory and case studies in class, but also learn in the field.

Learning Process
- The curriculum structure consists of 12 credits of Compulsory University Courses (MKWU), 112 credits of Study Program Competency Courses (MKKPS), and 20 credits of Competency Supporting Courses (MKPK).
- The learning process adopts an Evidence Base Learning system which facilitates students to combine theory and practice in the field which are grouped into 4 clusters, namely Understanding Nutritional Problems, Determinants of Nutritional Problems, Nutritional Intervention, and Monitoring-Evaluation.
- The study program facilitates students to take courses outside the study program for 1 semester and carry out activities outside the university for 2 semesters through the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM)
Career Prospects
Bachelor of Nutrition graduates of the FKM Unhas Nutrition Science Undergraduate Study Program can work in various fields such as Food and Nutrition Program Planners in Non-Governmental Organizations, International Non-Governmental Organizations, Ministry of Health, Food Security Agency, Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Community Health Centers, Regency/City Health Services , and Province; researchers at nutrition and health research institutes; consultant and nutritionist in the food and food service industry, including hospital, clinic and hotel catering; as well as developing businesses in the food service industry, becoming an influencer and EO in the nutrition sector.
