About the Program
Bachelor of Agribusiness is one of the study programs at the Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University which focuses on integrating agricultural and business knowledge to produce professionals capable of efficiently and sustainably managing the entire agricultural value chain. It integrates modern business concepts and provides a comprehensive understanding of the vital roles played by social and economic factors in managing agricultural resources intelligently and sustainably.
Strengths
In 2018, the study program achieved International Accreditation from the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA), and the study program accredited as "UNGGUL (excellent)" by BAN-PT (National Accreditation Board for Higher Education) in 2022.
Areas of Specialization
Specializations in the Agribusiness Study Program consist of (a) Business Management, (b) Agricultural Economics and Resources, and (c) Social, Cultural, and Agricultural Communities.
Learning Process
Teaching and learning process takes place through face-to-face interactions in classrooms, as well as through field practices and internships in both government and private institutions. In addition, as part of curriculum, students can take courses in other study programs or other university. The final project consists of research that culminates in a thesis focusing on specific areas of study according to individual interests.
Career Prospects
Graduates of the Agribusiness Study Program can have career in various institutions involved in the development of agribusiness. This includes Agribusiness Managers in both Government Institutions and Private Companies, as well as researchers in research institutions or universities. Many graduates also pursue careers as entrepreneurs, particularly in the field of agriculture.
