About the Program
The Industrial Engineering Study Program (PSTI) began operating in the academic year 2020/2021 as one of the concentrations in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University. In September 2017, PSTI separated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and became the Department of Industrial Engineering. The Department of Industrial Engineering has undergone significant developments in terms of the qualifications of teaching staff, the quality of students, and the availability of supporting facilities for learning. In 2018, PSTI obtained an "A" accreditation from BAN-PT and subsequently in 2023, it achieved an "Excellent" accreditation from LAM Teknik. In the same year, it also obtained full international accreditation from ASIIN. Currently, PSTI is implementing the latest curriculum, K-23, where students are given the opportunity to engage in off-campus activities for one semester.
Strengths
- Accredited as "Excellent" by LAM TEKNIK, valid from August 21, 2023, to August 20, 2028.
- Full Accreditation from the German International Accreditation Institution, ASIIN, valid from March 18, 2022, to September 30, 2027.
- Opportunities for students to participate in exchange programs or summer programs at partner universities abroad.
- Availability of facilities and infrastructure supporting both academic and non-academic activities.
- Students are directed to compose their Final Projects by joining laboratories according to their research specialization.
- The percentage of alumni obtaining their first job within < 6 months is quite high, at 73%.

Learning Process
- Learning is conducted through direct classroom instruction, field practices, and laboratory work, including internships in government and private institutions.
- Lectures can also be taken in similar study programs at other universities as part of the Independent Curriculum.
- The final project consists of research resulting in a thesis on a specific field of study according to the students' interests.

Graduates of PSTI work in various industries/companies, such as Construction Industry, Marketing, Manufacturing Industry, Government Institutions, Chemical Industry, Mining, Oil and Gas Industry, Food Industry, Consulting, and become Entrepreneurs.
