About the Program
The Environmental Engineering Program is one of the programs in the Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University, focusing on the science and application of environmental fields, particularly water quality, sanitation and waste management, as well as air quality and noise, based on maritime science and technology.
Strengths
- Accredited as "Excellent" since February 24, 2023, by LAMTEK.
- International Accreditation from the Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE) effective from April 1, 2020.
Areas of Specialization
Specializations in the Environmental Engineering Program consist of:
- Water Quality
- Sanitation and Waste Management
- Air Quality and Noise.
Learning Process
Learning is conducted directly in classrooms, laboratory practices, and fieldwork, including internships in both government and private institutions. Lectures can also be taken in other programs or universities as part of the curriculum. The final project consists of research resulting in a thesis on a specific field of study according to the chosen specialization.
Career Prospects
Graduates of the Environmental Engineering Program are absorbed into various institutions as environmental research assistants, environmental educators, industrial service providers, environmental consultants, environmental practitioners, and policy managers.
