About the Program
The Marine Systems Engineering Program (TSP) has a vision of becoming a Center for the Development and Application of Maritime Technology as a Pillar of Maritime Culture in the field of Marine Systems Engineering.
Strengths
- TSP was established in 2002 after being a concentration in Marine System Engineering at the Department of Naval Architecture in 2000. For several years, it was a concentration in the Department of Naval Engineering.
- Obtained ASIIN certification, renewed in 2023.
- Achieved "Excellent Accreditation" from BAN-PT effective April 5, 2022.

The specializations in TSP consist of :
- Ship Machinery
- Ship Propulsion
- Marine Structures
- Electrical and Control Systems
Learning Process
- Learning is conducted through direct classroom teaching, as well as field practice and laboratory work, including internships in government and private institutions.
- Classes can also be taken in other study programs or universities, as part of the curriculum.
- The final assignment is a research project resulting in a thesis focused on a specific area of interest.
Career Prospects
Graduates of the Marine Systems Engineering Program (TSP) are absorbed into various institutions, including academia/research, bureaucracy/regulation, inspection & supervision of ship machinery systems, consultant & analyst for ship machinery systems, and ship machinery system engineering.
